- Logout as you normally would.
- Press Ctrl+Alt+F3 (or F4 to F7) - any of these TTY’s will do. Note that Press Ctrl+Alt+F2 returns you to the (GUI) login screen (SDDM)
- Login on TTY with your username/password
- Perform the update:
sudo pacman-mirrors --continent && sudo pacman -Syu
- Logout of TTY (type
exit) - Press Ctrl+Alt+F2 (back to the GUI login screen)
- Reboot.
