[Stable Update] 2023-10-13 - Pipewire, Mattermost, Qt5, Haskell, Python

Hi guys, it looks like there’s a problem with the palemoon update that came out I think yesterday:

:: Synchronizing package databases...
 core is up to date
 extra is up to date
 multilib is up to date

resolving dependencies...
warning: cannot resolve "palemoon>=32.5.0", a dependency of "palemoon-i18n-en-gb"
warning: cannot resolve "palemoon>=32.5.0", a dependency of "palemoon-i18n-it"
:: The following packages cannot be upgraded due to unresolvable dependencies:
      palemoon-i18n-en-gb palemoon-i18n-it

:: Do you want to skip the above packages for this upgrade? [y/N]
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: unable to satisfy dependency 'palemoon>=32.5.0' required by palemoon-i18n-en-gb

Same issue. No more .avi thumbnail within pcmanfm.
ffmpegthumbnailer is installed.

Hi,
I opened a ticket here: Thumbnail avi files - #9 by fretere - Applications - GNOME Discourse
It seemed we have to downgrade shared-mime-info (i haven’t did it because i’m not a fan of downgrading package…)

Exact.
Downgrade to shared-mime-info 2.2+13+ga2ffb28-1 does the trick.
Thx :+1:

Without consequences at all?

Seems all right…

PipeWire v0.3.84 was released 2023-11-02 and only available in Manjaro unstable at the moment
packages.manjaro.org - pipewire

Next stable update release should include an update for PipeWire that may include a bugfix

Okay let’s hope that it’s fixed then.
Right now it’s really unreliable, sometimes the audio works (via Bluetooth or internal speakers) but often it doesn’t for whatever reason.
