[Stable Update] 2021-06-07 - Kernels, Perl, Haskell, Tesseract, Cutefish, KDE, Nvidia

GTX 1080 user here with two 1080p 60hz monitors connected via displayport to HDMI cables. I skipped the last stable release due to DP concerns, but went ahead with this one because I needed to install some software. No problems whatsoever! Thanks a lot everyone!

It doesen’t work

gnome-maps stopped working for me. journalctl tells me this:

I guess some dependency has been updated, but gnome-maps is still on version 40.1-1, while Arch already has 40.2-1.

I had too many issues with mesa 21.1.2 and amdgpu and was forced to downgrade to the 21.0 version.

Yea, to get my system working properly again I had to downgrade the following packages:

Another smooth update. The consistency of Manjaro is highly impressive. Thanks to the core team & army of testers for giving the rest of us such a great experience. More power to you all. Ruziel :slight_smile:

Now it works. thankyou very much

Hello and welcome :slight_smile:

You can try this :point_up: from above where I posted what fixed it for me.

Good luck :four_leaf_clover:

I’ve received the same update and now when I update the database it says that the keys are not valid.

Nope, it’s working as intended:

Apparently pacman keyring had to be deleted and re-populated. This was a deliberate action taken by Manjaro.

where is pacman 6?

It’s currently in the unstable branch.

ditto :sleepy:

  -> Running build hook: [sd-encrypt]
==> ERROR: file not found: `'
  -> Running build hook: [lvm2]

this promises no good for my next boot…

I find it unnerving how fragile initramfs has been lately

And I am not the first one: Mkinitcpio error related to sd-encrypt: ==> ERROR: file not found: `'

Please see this thread:

Downgrading cryptsetup made this error disappear.

Yes, downgrading did indeed help. But I did that on my own accord as grub led me to a blank screen.

Which means I had to chroot, predictably.

How about we don’t release broken cryptsetup to stable next time, please?

Downgraded my poll vote…
