I couldn’t agree more. That was fantastic work from all the aforementioned (especially when looking at the clusterf**k creative is giving us in terms of lacking support and awfully written software)!
I will try qastools immediately and report back. Though I do fear, that the missing “Surround” option in the “Ouput Select” from $ alsamixer shows a more fundamental problem regarding the channel patching from alsa (wild guessing without really knowing).
PS: So, I tested quastools. Indeed a neat little GUI for alsamixer, but not more than that, so the problems remain.
- No 5.1 channel output as per true audio signal
- No microphone level input
