Sound Drops to 4% When Pluggin USB-C Hub

Hello everyone,
I’m new to Manjaro—thank you for this helpful forum and for accepting me!

I recently purchased a USB-C hub from urban factory (HUBEE PLUS: STATION MOBILE USB-C 100W). When I connect it to my laptop and play a video on Vimeo or YouTube (no issue with VLC), the sound volume unexpectedly drops to 4% after about two minutes. I can’t figure out why this is happening.

I have a thinkpad L13 yoga :

Here’s my current audio configuration:

Has anyone else experienced this or knows a solution? Thank you!

I haven’t, but possibly someone else has.

Some housekeeping:

This is not strictly related to the sound issue - nonetheless the linux 6.11 kernel is EOL

mhwd-kernel -i linux612 rmc

I would use Wayland - lower left corner at login - switch session to Plasma Wayland

Check the browsers volume setting - it works separately from your system’s volume.

Thanks for your reply, I’ve updated my kernel. I also ran this command:

journalctl --user -u pipewire -f

and now everything works.
Just so you know, it was the laptop sound that was dropping, not the browser.

Thanks again
