Hello to all!
First time user at the forum and very newbie at using Linux, I need assistance in configuring my old yet reliable laptop, an HP Probook 655 G1, built and sold in 2014, which I installed Manjaro last week, with several issues at first boot.
This current issue, is about the soundcard chip, an IDT High Definition Audio 92HD81B1X that is handled as a generic device, which unfortunately does not provide sound of any kind.
I have been manually (and haphazardly) applying solutions, with varying degrees of success, yet it seems that I’ve borked the audio for good after blindly installing both Pipewire and PulseAudio.
