Some question re login and creating of a new account

Today i discovered the new Manjaro forum and that i could not log in with my usual email and password. So, i created a new account with my old username, email and pswd. That worked.

BUT: curiously my old avatar was taken automatically. How that, when my old account, obviously, was bleached out in the new forum? Creating the account HERE, my username was available as well as the email. Just in theory, if someone else would have taken my username they got the avatar too?

Because you probably have a Gravatar account like me. Anything that uses my email uses the same image if they are compatible with Gravatar.
