Some of the keys on my Thinkpad x230 keyboard does not work properly for a certain time

Kernel 5.17 makes no sense with an Intel CPU Gen.3 and Ivi-bridge. Stick with the LTS 5.4 or LTS 5.10 kernel, they are perfectly fine for the X230. Your problem could be due to an electrical contact problem in the keyboard matrix. It is noticeable that the keys 2, W, S, X are on a line diagonally.

yeah I changed the mirror to global and updated full sytem but still nothing’s working at all

I changed the kernel to 5.10 but same result…maybe you’re right …it’s a problem of electrical contact…though i unplugged the keyboard from the motherboard and replugged it but nothing changed.

it was indeed an electrical connection problem…Thanks a lot
