[SOLVED] Web browsers are not playing any sounds

I’ve tried with both Chromium and Brave browsers and they both don’t seem to be playing any sounds from youtube or soundcloud. When I play games they don’t have any issues or when I test the speakers in settings->audio no issues there. Does any know how to troubleshoot this?

Hi,
you can try to check the Sound Output for the specific program. or just force all audio to play back on a specific audio device. you can check that on the sound icon in the task bar.

Thanks that actually showed that there was a separate mute option for particular applications. I just needed to unmute chromium and it worked. I didn’t know this existed. I’m use to a master volume control.
