(SOLVED) Can't setup fcitx on Manjaro KDE

#1

I tried to config fcitx to write down chinese characters, but I don’t know how to make it work.

Here’s my pastebin with the fcitx-diagnose i wrote on terminal, there are some errors but I don’t know how to fix them:

#2

Try to create a .pam_environment file as instructed here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/fcitx#Non_desktop_environment
It worked for me.

#3

or add these lines in ~/.xprofile
your current env is set as ibus, maybe you used that before, so change them to fcitx

export GTK_IM_MODULE=fcitx
export XMODIFIERS=@im=fcitx
export QT_IM_MODULE=fcitx
export QT4_IM_MODULE=fcitx

you need logout or reboot

also check your config, you maybe tried the wrong key to invoke fcitx

#4

I did it, and worked. Guess I was missing the ~/.pam_enviroment file out of the bunch, wrote everything in its place and now it’s working fine.
