I think in the Manjaro’s Forum Main Page we could have a “Solutioned” Category. It would behave like “status:solved” typed on the “Search Bar” but much more organized and intuitive. To improve the Search for Solutioned Topics by new users we could also have “Subcategories” with titles like, “Kernel”, “ARM”, “Boot”, “Pacman”, “Pamac”, “Graphic Card”, “Sound”, “Packages”, ”Network”, “Others”, etc…
On my side, I could help contribuiting to this New Category by sort things out, it would be a honor for me .
Live Long and Prosper.
PS.: I’m not sure if I could post it here or in the “Forum” subcategory. It seems to be a “Feature Request.” Sorry about my mistake .
Yeah, I agree with you but, I think it would be more intuitive to the new users like the Introduce Yourself Category. It is a big colored button with a brief explanation, that could help attract their attention. I believe our methods are less intuitive to the newcomers, the one that I pointed “status:solved” is less intuitive yet .
Feature Request is for anything to do with the Manjaro GNU/Linux distribution.
That would be completely unworkable, because then the Moderators and Community Assistants would constantly be moving threads in (and out of) those categories, and the tree of categories would become impractically large too.
Furthermore, as @Tomek has shown, it would also be pointless, given that one can filter the solved threads from a selection menu.
Thank you for all the answers and yep, it would be a nightmare doing all that work.
But I think with some web development tweaks, it could be done automatically. It looks like to get what Tomek said, do some HTML, CSS configs in the background to reach the results. But I don’t know if it is allowed by Discourse.
Anyway, thanks again, I’ll try to figure out more ways to contribute with Manjaro, I love it .
