Software to create pointers to several addresses in a map

Hi,

I want to create a map which shows the location of my friends (similar to what Google maps does when looking for restaurants or so). The map should be storable in a commen format so it can be shared with others. I do not want to use Google maps, though, but rather an Open Source Software. Is something like that available? I’ve been looking for a long time now and my search terms just don’t pop up any useful options.

I don’t think there is a specific app - but one never knows.

You can likely feed the coordinates to openstreetmap.org using a script or you you can pinpoint the lications and export the result.
