Snap Support broken for LTS kernel 5.4.85

After the last update of 3 days ago the Snap applications are utterly dead on LTS kernel 5.4.85.

Upon launching them I get, for instance:

[gtromano@gae-manj ~]$ skype
cannot query current apparmor profile: Invalid argument

This happens to be the same for all the other snap packages. Respectively, I have tested: Spotify, Zoom.

apparmor is running. Upon asking the aa-status I get:

apparmor module is loaded.
28 profiles are loaded.
27 profiles are in enforce mode.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

There’s a thread already about this, the problem is with canonical. Installing kernel 5.10 should fix the issue for now
