Slow Shutdown TImes

If my computer is turned on for some time, when I shutdown my computer it takes around 2 minutes to shutdown. I have attempted to see what is causing it by looking through my logs, however have failed to identify a potential cause. Any help or advice would be appreciated. If there is other information you need to help me, let me know and I can locate it.

Here is the output of inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host

Here is the output of journalctl -b -1
https://aptget.xyz/qFL3Q/boot.log
Some things to note of the log, the time of the last line in the log seems to be the time it actually shuts down, but the line where it says System is powering down. happens around 2 minutes after I start the shutdown.

From what I found online, I’m assuming the kwin_x11 errors seems likely to not be related, especially since I see that error at other times as well.

The sddm errors are what I am guessing might be the problem, but I wasn’t able to find any solutions online, only other people mentioning they had the problem and one person mentioning that they also had a slow shutdown issue here. While a person did mention a fix in that link, it appeared to be exclusively for an issue with logging on that also generated the same exit code.
sddm errors for people that don’t want to look at log:

Sep 03 16:25:56 TheRealComputer sddm[722]: Authentication error: "Process crashed"
Sep 03 16:25:56 TheRealComputer sddm[722]: Auth: sddm-helper crashed (exit code 15)
Sep 03 16:25:56 TheRealComputer sddm[722]: Authentication error: "Process crashed"
Sep 03 16:25:56 TheRealComputer sddm[722]: Auth: sddm-helper exited with 15

Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be appreciated.

You could try updating the kernel to something newer. That might solve it.

Is there a newer kernel beyond what one gets with sudo pacman -Syu?

Kernel management wiki page has some helpful options:
https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php/Manjaro_Kernels

p.s. Welcome to the forum

I see, thanks. I’ll try upgrading to 5.13 then and see if that fixes the issue.

Upgrading to a newer kernel did not solve the issue, the shutdown time remained the same. And just to explicitly mention it, I did restart my computer a separate time to load the kernel before checking that the issue remained

Sorry for the delay in responding.
