Hi and welcome to the forum
1 What makes the downloading slow? eg can you give a hint at what you deem slow and compare it to what you consider fast? If you are in a place where there are no or few mirrors with decent capacity in between it’s hard to solve.
2 Are you using wireless or ethernet (or both)
3 what is de output of the pacman-mirrors
and have you tried resetting to defaults
edit:
sudo pacman-mirrors --country all --api --protocols all --set-branch stable && sudo pacman -Syyu
sudo pacman-mirrors --fasttrack && sudo pacman -Syyu
