Skip the "zoomed out" desktop picker when first logging in

When I log into Manjaro Gnome, I’m greeted by a zoomed out view of my desktop:

To exit this view I simply click on the desktop and everything zooms in. I’d like to skip this step and just jump straight to the regular desktop view when I log in.

Lastly: sorry for the title. I don’t know the name of the thing I’m seeing, or what application is causing this behaviour, so it’s pretty hard to Google for myself.

OS details:

  • Firmware version: 1.03
  • OS Name: Manjaro Linux
  • OS Build: Rolling
  • OS Type: 64-bit
  • Gnome version: 46
  • Windowing system: X11
  • Kernel version: Linux 6.10.13-3-MANJARO

That’s the default behavior by design. I’m sure there’s an extension for that. Perhaps search there for overview.

[…] search there for overview.

That’s what I needed. I can’t include links in my posts for some reason (assuming it’s because I don’t have enough reputation or something) so for anyone else wanting to remove this feature, the extension I used is called No overview at start-up.

Thanks!
