Since last updatre, system regularly freezes with network manager

I am running Manjaro on a Dell XPS 15. It has been super-stable for two years now.

But wince the last update (maybe 2-3 weeks ago) the whole system often freezes if/when I do anything relating to network manager (like changing wifi networks, or even when the system automatically connects after a restart).

It completely freezes, I cant move the cursor, no combination of keys does anything. The Caps Lock light on the key just flashes once a second. The only option is to hard reboot with the power button…

Any ideas?

I updated to the latest stable kernel and the problem has gone away.
