My HP Envy blew out it’s wifi card. My option is an usb ethernet connection.
It sees the usb ethernet gadget but can not connect.
According to something I read, if you put in a command in the persistant-rules including the mac address then stop Networkmanger from trying to get involved your problem should be solved.
My problem is what to input and where. Reason I question his advice is digging up the original ifno he was using ipconfig.
I do have the Enp0 name and the mac address. I would just like to get my internet working again. I am using a phone which is a new thing for me. Steep learning curve.
Found thee was a router problem. resetting and reconfiguring solved the issue.
