Session logged out during update

I have tried to update (XFCE DE) using pacman -Syu.

During the update the session logged out. And now i get the error: "error: failed to synchronize all databases "

UPD: Ok, after manual reboot, the system has broken completely: can’t found kernel, vmlinuz etc. Hello, clonezilla

A possible habit that might help avoid situations like this is to perform a sync/update via a TTY before you login to your DE.

This is particularly useful when system packages are updated that might be in use at the time.

Check the respective Update Announcements to check whether this might be the case.
