…how do I resolve this? It’s an AUR package : seq24-bzr…
Thanks
Melissa
You should know that we do need to see the build log including the error in order to perhaps give advice.
It is an orphaned package, btw - last updated more than 8 years ago.
The chances are not great … but the last comment is from 3 years ago with a thank you, so it seems to have worked then.
Try rebuilding the package again. Copy the Build log, and paste it here.
Surround it with three ticks ``` or use the </> button on the Editor menu.
Given how old the package is, it is highly unlikely it will build.
You might find Hydrogen to be a worthwhile alternative for your needs.

Installable from the official Manjaro repositories:
sudo pacman -S hydrogen
Regards.
As @soundofthunder says Hydrogen might be a good choice. It also takes MIDI input, I’ve used it that way with my MIDI keyboard. There is another posibility call Drum Machine, it also takes MIDI input.
Both are also programable.
I’ve used Hydrogen for all my Drum tracks. I’ve never tried “Drum Machine”
Thanks for the tips. And yes, it’s old. The conflict is in the namespace (how that happened, baffles me) - I tried the PKGBUILD as well, there, the place where the source is located is all wrong (even the server is wrong, way off)…
Since I’m a developer, I dove deeper in, but to no avail. There is a patch…but…patches are … patchy
Maybe drum machine of hydrogen could help.
Eh, we’ll see.
One way to grow is to lose a “leg” - so I’ll learn something new…
Thanks
