After the update I got a black screen and can only login in tty.
I tried the sddm fix from a previous update, but it does not work. (Nvidia system)

After the latest update I got a black screen when booting.
I can login into tty and startplasma-wayland works fine so I guess the sddm is broken?

You may find some helpful information in the system journal for the time you booted.
sddm is particularly sensitive to the configured theme - so if you are using a custom theme - please test by reverting to the default breeze or breath theme and verify if the issue persist.
I have updated my testing laptop using the recent stable update - and there is no issues when using the default Manjaro breath theme
Hm, thats weird. I didnt change anything to SDDM.

After loggin in via tty and start plasma, lock the screen with SUPER+L
it seems to work again, even after reboot.
Now my second monitor is gone.
There is a Popup for the second monitor to be plugged in or removed, but i cant add it as an output device anymore.

I have no idea what I have done, but after a couple of reboots, sddm works again and the second monitor is back

I use the Cinnamon edition, so lightdm not sddm but the symptoms appear to be the same? Like for you I’m not sure what I did that seemed to have fixed the issue. I now make it a point to first read the ‘Update announcement’ and all the issues others are having, and wait a week or 2 before applying the update. before updating, I also do a full image backup (using Rescuezilla) to an external hard drive - just in case!
