Second screen not recognized until I switch HDMI ports

Hello,

after trying to get CS2 to work in 4:3 using Nvidia-Settings my second monitor is never recognized on startup. I have to manually plug the HDMI cable into the second port for it to be recognized. When I do a restart the same thing happens again as if the port isn’t recognized if something is plugged into it on startup.

Did anyone experience this before and can help me with this?

Okay so I finally took another approach at this and the solution was stupidly easy. I just reset my xorg Settings to default.

sudo mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup
sudo reboot
