Second Monitor Not Receiving Signal

I have seen similar issues pop up on other posts but didn’t understand the solution (Plus I use different hardware and didn’t want to mess up stuff).

I recently installed manjaro (used pop os before without facing this issue) and realized that my second monitor is not working. Both xrandr and kde settings seem to acknowledge the monitor exists but the monitor still doesn’t get any input. I am fairly new to linux (have done some troubleshooting before, but I’m far from an expert) and I haven’t posted in these forums before, so let me know if I need to give more information or if I accidentaly leave out key details.

Did you try

xrandr --output HDMI-1-0 --mode 1920x1080 --right-of eDP

Instead of right-of you could also use above, below and left-of of course.

I tried the command and got the following error message:

xrandr: Configure crtc 4 failed

Maybe go for a lower resolution like 1280x720 instead

I just tried that, but I got the same error message.

Or try xrandr --output HDMI-1-0 --auto --right-of eDP, this will let xrandr auto-configure the monitor settings.

But if you still have crtc error, then check below:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=265677

That command also did not work. As for the link you provided, I got a bit confused.

I"d prefer to not make the nvidia gpu my primary gpu since that would probably affect battery life. I use the computer for both school and occasional gaming. If there isn’t any other option, I’ll try doing that but I’d prefer to look for alternative solutions.

I got a bit confused on the reverse prime offloading part, but I found something on an arch wiki page (link: PRIME - ArchWiki) and ran the following command:

xrandr --setprovideroffloadsink 0 1

and got the following error message:

X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 140 (RANDR)
Minor opcode of failed request: 34 (RRSetProviderOffloadSink)
  Value in failed request: 0x1f6
Serial number of failed request: 16
Current serial number in output stream: 17

I believe 0x1f6 refers to the nvidia gpu if that helps. I got that by running:

xrandr --listproviders

and got the following output
