Screen goes blank for a few seconds

Hi, I’m experiencing a new issue lately. After a while, my HDMI connected screen goes blank for a few seconds, turns back on after that. Once I had an error message about unsupported refresh rates, but usually there’s no message.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with integrated GPU, 5.18 kernel. Didn’t have that ever before.

Could this be some kind of software issue, or might it be hardware related? How could I go about debugging it? Regards

Christian

does it happen with other kernels, does it happen with xorg?

does it happen with xorg?

I disabled wayland in /etc/gdm/custom.conf

does it happen with other kernels

Didn’t have the chance to try that yet, it’s not even easily reproducible on the current 5.18.6-1-MANJARO

Since I wrote the original post on my mobile, I couldn’t include inxi output. Here it is.

and how often does it happen, or when was the last time it happened?

Happened yesterday a few times during several hours of usage. PC was in standby over night, didn’t have that issue since I wake it up today.

so provide logs, maybe there will be something:
journalctl -b0 -p3 --no-pager
