Screen brightness reduced after standby mode

On my desktop PC I have recently installed (better: connected) a new monitor (Samsung LU28R550UQRXEN). For quite some while everything seemed ok. After the before-last Manjaro update I noticed that, after the PC had been in standby-mode for a while, the monitor was set to 100% brightness when the PC was awaken. After the last update which I perfomed a few days ago it’s now the opposite: Whenever I awake the PC from standby mode, the monitor is set to (almost) lowest brightness (something like 3% or so - good for me would be around 60 to 70%). I need to readjust the brightness each time the PC awakes from standby mode, which is a bit annoying.

Does anyone have an idea How I can fix that? Or is it a bug which I should report?
Here is the system information:
Operating System: Manjaro Linux

Thanks in advance.

You can change the settings for automatic dimming via Plasma’s System Settings => Power Management => Display and Brightness.

Thank you, I could have thought of this. The option for setting the brightness was disabled, now I turned it on and we’ll see what kind of effect this has. I just noticed (wasn’t sure about it) that also when the monitor is turned off by the energy savings settings, the same behaviour applies, i.e. it sets the brightness to a different value.

If that doesn’t work, then disabling the “Change screen brightness” option and changing the “Dim automatically” option to “Never” should fix the issue.
