I dont look for matching wallpaper, I create the themes and icons based on the colors of the wallpapers I find on sites with FOSS licenses. The highlight color of all the themes can be found in the wallpaper they are used with. Along with a palette of related colors because no theme is just one color.
As for time spent, its about an hour to create the theme and package it per desktop. But thats because I have spent countless hours creating theme generators. In the beginning it would take about 4 to 5 hours just for the window/control themes per desktop.
Personally I’m not using any of your spins because I run a heavily customized Plasma desktop, and I’m very peculiar about a lot of things that may not matter to other people.
Nevertheless, I would like to express my deepest appreciation for the efforts, and the attention to detail and quality you keep putting into the creation of your spins, and as such, for broadening the range of Manjaro offerings to present and prospective users.
I had initially presumed the icon used “stock” colours available in specific themes, which would have left manually matching wallpaper as one of the few remaining options.
On reflection, I suppose you would have used/modified .svg-based icons, which makes matching them to any palette a (relative) breeze.
Attention to theming is something that’s historically been sadly lacking in Linux distributions. Your work is appreciated.
