Help requested from Experts and advanced user’s, i am trying to connect my manjaro and mac laptops over network, for simple file sharing. i installed samaba on manjaro and edited the smb.conf file. to my dismay i just cant get samba service to start i am getting time out error, below are the steps i have followed, kindly guide me where i am wrong.
pacman -S samba smbclient
samba --version
Version 4.19.5
created a share in the root
sudo mkdir -p /sambatransit/
Set permissions to any and all
sudo chmod ugo+rwx /sambatransit -R
sudo systemctl enable --now smb nmb
systemctl restart smb nmb
i get the following errors and samba service timeout error and service disabled
sudo systemctl restart smb nmb
