On Ubuntu Gnome, I would normally make the .sh file executable with chmod and run it, which would bring up the GUI installer. On Manjaro Gnome, the installation process happens right there in the terminal. Not a huge problem, although paging through the legal agreement is a bit annoying, but I’m curious as to why this happens, if only for education’s sake.

Found the solution: just had to install the gtk2 package. Maybe someone will find it helpful.
