RTX 4070 super chipset not supported

Hi. Please help. Couple of days ago i bought RTX 4070 Super. After i did fresh installation i found that current version of nvidia drivers which included in current manjaro (545.29.06) do not support nvidia Super new generation video cards. Initial support of 4070 super and 4070 Ti super only started at 550.40.07. Can you please help me with step by step installation of fresh nvidia driver. As i understood from some topics here and from my practice it is not possible to use original Nvidia driver installer from Nvidia site.

Have you tried mhwd?

sudo mhwd -a pci nonfree 0300

Yes all drivers installed

mhwd -li

Installed PCI configs:

              NAME VERSION FREEDRIVER TYPE

      video-nvidia 2023.03.23 false PCI

mhwd -l

0000:01:00.0 (0300:10de:2705) Display controller nVidia Corporation:

              NAME VERSION FREEDRIVER TYPE

       video-linux 2018.05.04 true PCI
 video-modesetting 2020.01.13 true PCI
        video-vesa 2017.03.12 true PCI

Look like that manjaro mhwd not support new nvidia cards. Distr drivers just too old. The problem with standard manjaro driver that it is not working properly slow ui, slow everything . In applications i get 5-10 FPS.

Take proper PKGBUILD, modify it and try building that.

Ah, it’s not in the repos or AUR.

Version: 550.40.07
Release Date: 2024.1.24

It was only released a few days ago.

I have vague memories of using Nvidia’s installer, but that was probably on a Debian based system.

I’m about to purchase the RTX4070Ti SUPER card but need to wait until the beta driver 550.40.07 become official and I hope it will be available in the repos soon.
