I used to run system-level backups of my system to a remote borg server using vorta, but after the last update, the program runs on command line when run as root, but does not display on KDE, either as a window, or in the system tray.
It does run a background update task, but it’s hard to tell what it’s doing, and the GUI does not display. Is it possible to get the GUI back? Other users (Implications of Downgrading an AUR Package? - #6 by Tomek) have reported being able to run with GUI as root.
A pamac remove and reinstall from AUR does not resolve the issue.
Any suggestions for restoring the GUI?
