Can't create usb for iso

I have downloaded image writer and everything and I am at a loss of how to download this. I have put sudo dd bs=4M if=/path/to/manjaro.iso of=/dev/sd[drive letter] status=progress oflag=sync in the terminal and it tells me dd: unrecognized operand ‘letter’ try dd – help for more information. I am a rookie with linux but, I simply took the clipboard copy and paste into the terminal. It should have been recognized shouldn’t it? I am really interested in manjaro as my new main linux and any help y…

And for creating Manjaro bootable USB, the easiest route (for me anyway) is using Ventoy just as @jrichard326 explained.

1. Insert your USB drive in the pc.
2. Download the Ventoy archive.
3. Extract it to a folder.
4. Go that folder.
5. Fire up a terminal in that folder.
6. Run : ./VentoyGUI.x86_64
7. Enter password if needed.
8. A window like below will be opened.
   
   [1]. Select the appropriate USB drive
   [2]. Press the install button.
9. Now close ventoy window.
10. Copy your ISO file to the USB.
11. Live ISO should be ready!

The best part is, you don’t have to install ventoy everytime you want to try a new distro. After installing ventoy once, you can just copy paste new ISOs to the pen-drive and boot from them!
