Rofi: How can I sort windows first by desktop, then by app, then by instance?

Using rofi -show window. How can I sort windows first by desktop, then by app, then by instance?

I tried -sort, and I set sort to true in config.rasi. I figured it does sort, but by desktop. I’m only using one desktop rn.

The developer says:

The default order is the order the window manager sets. There is no active sorting (before filtering) the list.

EDIT It is possible to write a script for a custom modi which sorts the windows.
