Resolution out of range after log in

After updating today, I’m unable to reach my desktop with the proprietary Nvidia drivers.

After I log in, my monitor times out with an out-of-frequency error, stating that the resolution is not supported. I’m only able to gain access to my desktop by removing the Nvidia drivers and rebooting with the Nouveau drivers.

I’ve tried using xrandr to change the resolution, but I get a Can't open display error.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I managed to resolve the issue by installing the video-nvidia-470xx drivers.
