Hello Manjaro Community and Maintainers,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to kindly inquire about the possibility of providing legacy CUDA toolkit versions (e.g., CUDA 12.4 ) in the official repositories.
Currently, the stable branch offers Nvidia driver version 550.144.03-4(RTX4060), which does not fully support CUDA 12.8 as per Nvidia’s compatibility documentation. This creates a dependency conflict for workflows requiring both the stable driver and CUDA tools. Accessing older CUDA versions through the Arch User Repository (AUR) or manual compilation has proven challenging for maintaining system consistency.
Would it be feasible to package a compatible legacy CUDA version alongside the current offerings? This would greatly benefit users relying on specific software/hardware configurations.
Thank you for considering this request, and as always, we deeply appreciate your tireless work in maintaining Manjaro’s ecosystem.
Thank you for reading this message. I am not a programmer, and English is not my native language. If anything comes across as impolite or unclear, please kindly forgive me.
Best regards,
