Request for inclusion of current nodejs-lts in Manjaro ARM repository

Hello, I’m currently running Linux Manjaro ARM unstable on a Pi4 with ioBroker, and I use nodejs-lts-iron. At the moment, the repository provides version 20.18.1, but I’ve noticed that version 20.18.3 is available on the ArchLinuxARM website (nodejs-lts-iron (aarch64) | Packages | Arch Linux ARM).

I understand that I could manually download and install this newer package, but I believe it would be more beneficial for the community if nodejs-lts-iron 20.18.3 and nodejs-lts-jod 22.14.0-2 were included in the official Manjaro ARM repository. This would ensure smoother updates and better dependency management for all users.

I was going to wait until until the new toolchain updates were available but you are correct. Wait for the mirrors to sync.

ADDED:

After updating here I discovered the packages you were looking for is being held back and is not available until they finish the toolchain rebuilds. So we will have to wait. Sorry about that…

Hello Darksky, thank you for the detailed update. It’s great to know that nodejs-lts will be updated once the new toolchain rebuilds are completed. I appreciate your prompt response and will wait.

Is there a rough timeline for when the new toolchain rebuilds will be completed, or is it just a case of “it’ll be ready when it’s ready” as usual? :wink:
