Repeated "tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62"

Since one of the later updates, my kernel is filling the dmesg ring buffer with tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62, making dmesg substantially useless.

Unclear to me what is the change that introduced this repeated logging and what are its implications. I tend to think that probably the kernel does not like something in the implementation of my TPM (this is an aging haswell laptop). I am on the 6.6 LTS kernel.

Any clue?

If you’re not using the tpm, you could disable it in the UEFI (Bios).

How about inxi? What kernel, what cpu, what everything…

A search site:bbs.archlinux.org tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62

There is this from 2021

This machine should provide TPM 1 (not 2) using the infineon kernel module
