Recent Audio Issues with my microphone

I currently have two Dell Latitude laptops that runs the latest Manjaro OS but I am having serious audio issues with my microphone , which has disrupted my activities during online meetings.
Even if I do a fn + f4 to unmute, it shows the both state [muted and unmuted] but the light indicator on the keyboard shows it’s muted for both toggled state.
And since I Dual booted the system, I switched to Windows and saw it working super well.
I look forward to seeing this fixed.

Update Announcements

The Update Announcements contain important information and a Known Issues and Solutions section that should generally be checked before posting a request for support.

System Information

Output of the inxi command (with appropriate parameters, and formatted according to forum guidelines) will generate information useful for those wishing to help:

inxi --filter --verbosity=8

or the short form (preferred):

inxi -zv8

Any code or command output (such as inxi output) should be placed within a scrollable pre-formatted text enclosure according to forum guidelines.

See here for instructions :point_down:

[Mini How-To] format code or command output

Select and copy all the text in the Terminal window (minus the prompt, if you are using zsh).

Then paste the output in between two lines containing three backticks:
```
or three tildes:
~~~

Or:

Copy & paste, then highlight the pasted text and click the </> button at the top of the reply window (easier for smaller outputs).

Just to rule out the usual suspects, did you disable the fast startup in windows?

@Teo
I’ll have to check that now

@nuvancetechnologies

What was the resolution?

Any Support topic is rather pointless without a clear stated resolution to a problem, or a post marked as the Solution (if someone else helped to solve it) – I’m certain you must agree.

Please provide full details of whatever fixed your problem, as they may indeed help others that find this thread.

Regards.
