Rasberry Install Manjaro error

Image Manjaro-ARM-xfce-rpi4-20.12.1.img.xz
Used Etcher to put on 32g Micro Sd.

PI 4, 8 Gig

Error during initial boot, tried several times, happens over and over, see below.

Errors: Waiting 10 seconds for device /dev/disk/by-label/ROOT_MNJRO …
ERROR: Device ‘’LABEL=ROOT_MNJRO’ not found. Skipping fsck.

mount: /new_root: can’t find LABEL=ROOT_MNJRO.

You are now being dropped into an emergency shell.

I just happened to install that same image today with no issues. You have some corruption going on from somewhere. Common causes are sdcard, not properly unmounting the sdcard after burning and bad download with the image. Some sdcard has a tipping point at 32G not burning properly. I have had a bad etcher version at one time. You might try unpacking the Manjaro-ARM-xfce-rpi4-20.12.1.img.xz image and use dd to put the Manjaro-ARM-xfce-rpi4-20.12.1.img on the sdcard.


On top of what @Darksky said, it might also be a bad download: check the SHA1 of your download on top of his excellent suggestions.
