Questions about Nvidia proprietary drivers

Hey, I was wondering why Manjaro stable still has Nvidia 550 drivers? are you waiting for 565 to come out and then push those to stable?

and the last question is, when are you going to make the switch to Nvidia Wayland by default? If I install Manjaro GNOME now selecting the Nvidia proprietary drivers it will still default to x11, and I have to follow a guide on the manjaro forum on how to enable nvidia wayland on gnome, ubuntu 24.10 now defaults to Wayland too for Nvidia cards with the 560 driver

Guys, what I currently don’t like about Nvidia drivers is the following: you need to know if you have to use the open kernel one or not you might need to enable systemd services to make it work (this is now done via alpm postinstall scripts) you have to know if you enable or disable the GSP firmware I have a fairly new 4060 mobile GPU and that driver drives me nuts. 550 is the last proper old style driver Nvidia will release. Nvidia drivers got downgraded to 550.100, therefore update with sudo pacman -Syuu. If you want to stay on the 555 driver series you may either switch to unstable or install nvidia-dkms via: sudo pacman -U https://mirror.easyname.at/manjaro/pool/overlay/nvidia-dkms-555.58.02-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst.
