Qonos Update 21.2.0 broke my Prime dual-monitor setup

So the most recent large update (~1.1gb) to Qonos 21.2.0 I think it was, broke my dual-monitor support on Prime.

Prior to that I was happily using Prime on xorg with dual-monitors via the 495 NV driver and enjoying decent desktop and gaming performance. Since the update hit I have these options:

  1. Use my laptop screen only (by selecting Wayland… Intel)
  2. Use my TV screen only (by selecting xorg… nvidia)

I would like to be able to use both together again.

Things I have tried:

  • Upgrading to latest version of Prime.
  • I have tried upgrading to the 5.15 kernel (from 5.10 LTS) just in case it’s required for latest NV driver.

Here are some logs which may be of use if anyone is able to assist (from my xorg/nvidia/TV login).

OK so I recent fixed this. Upon running…

systemctl status optimus-manager.service

…it didn’t return a very promising result. So I re-installed Optimus Manager and the service is running properly and things are fixed. Multi-monitors are back!
