QObject: Cannot create children for a parent that is in a different thread (plasma v6)

while trying to run Marble Maps the console is littered with these warnings…

QObject: Cannot create children for a parent that is in a different thread.
(Parent is Breeze::WidgetStateEngine(0x61cb6ea6a820), parent's thread is QThread(0x61cb6e66b330), current thread is QSGRenderThread(0x61cb6f74e8b0)

this is with the phonon-qt5-vlc backend

KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.1.0
Qt Version: 6.7.0
Kernel Version: 6.9.0-1-MANJARO (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11

seems like it is a package that has been abandonen in AUR with last update 6 months ago, and might be broken today after plasma 6 which apparently has brought some new restrictions to how Qt can be used?

yeah, i saw that, but KDE still recommends the vlc back-end and nothing has been done with the other one for even longer

i guess we’ll have to see if this gets worked out - maybe it’s Marble that needs to adjust?
