Python Script Error

I've been trying to make keyboard backlight work for a few days. From the ArchWiki page "Keyboard Backlight" found out that a python script could help with it, so I did as recommended there. But when I try to execute the script I get an error message that states:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/local/bin/", line 26, in <module>
  File "/usr/local/bin/", line 11, in kb_light_set
    current = kbd_backlight.GetBrightness()

    return self._proxy_method(*args, **keywords)
  File "/usr/lib/python3.8/site-packages/dbus/", line 141, in __call__
    return self._connection.call_blocking(self._named_service,
  File "/usr/lib/python3.8/site-packages/dbus/", line 652, in call_blocking
    reply_message = self.send_message_with_reply_and_block(
dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: No such interface “org.freedesktop.UPower.KbdBacklight” on object at path /org/freedesktop/UPower/KbdBacklight

From similar issues found here and on ArchLinux forum I understood that there might be a problem with upower , but none of recommended solutions works, I still have this error.

Please help :slight_smile:
