I upgrade manjaro to stable update 2021-02-28 and kernel version 5.10.
I install PyCharm last version via snapd.
After install open project in PyCharm , after 1 - 2 min work editor freeze on typing just copy/paste worked.
I am a long time user of Jetbrains toolbox.
I have no experience with snap but as with all Jetbrains tools they are super easy to get up and running using the tar.gzip archive from their website.
Just unpack the archive in a convenient location with write access - then run the pycharm.sh from the bin folder.
