Pulseview funktioniert nicht mehr

Hallo!

Als Elektrotechniker bzw. Elektrotechnik-Lehrer benutze ich gelegentlich die Software PulseView in Kombination mit einem günstigen USB-Logic-Analyzer 8Kanal/24MHz (Salae-Klon).

Unabhängig voneinander funktioniert PulseView jedoch seit einiger Zeit weder auf der Manjaro-Installation auf meinem Laptop noch auf meinem Stand-PC.

Das Verhalten ist das selbe: Das Fenster kommt, bleibt aber leer (nur Rahmen, sonst durchsichtig) oder wird schwarz, dann kommt der Dialog, ob man Beenden erzwingen oder warten will.
Dabei ist es auch egal, ob der Logic-Analyzer angesteckt ist oder nicht.

Ein Start aus dem Terminal liefert leider auch keine Fehlermeldungen oder sonst etwas.

journalctl -b -p err nach dem Absturz liefert leider auch keine Ausgabe.

Eine frische Manjaro-Installation führte zum selben Ergebnis.

Betroffen sind übrigens sowohl die aktuelle Appimage (und ich glaube auch eine frühere Version) als auch die Version aus den offiziellen Paketquellen. Aus dem Snap wird’s gar nicht installiert, eine Flatpak gibt es nicht.

An meinem Laptop funktioniert PulseView unter Fedora (habe es testweise auf einer zweiten Platte installiert) ohne Probleme.

Am StandPC in einer Linux Mint VM funktioniert es auch.

Funktioniert die Software bei euch? Wie könnte man das Problem lösen?

poste mal die ausgabe des berühmten “inxi” damit wir wenigstens einen groben überblick bekommen was für einen kernel etc… du benutzt denn hellseher sind wir alle nicht.

Funktioniert hier auch nicht. Da ich es nur selten benutze, kann ich auch nicht sagen seit wann nicht.

Mit “pulseview -l 5” gib es ein paar Debug-Informationen, hilft aber nicht weiter. Es scheint beim Erstellen des GUI abzustürzen, also vermutlich ein Problem mit QT5.

in der tat scheint der TO wohl plasma/kde zu verwenden. habe pulseview mal installiert und in der tat schmiert es ab. bliebe noch pulseview zu deinstallieren und pulseview-git aus dem aur danach zu installieren und auszuprobieren. vielleicht schafft das abhilfe. qt/plasma ist einfach ein graus, immer wieder schaffen die devs es ihr system zu verbasteln.

Ich verwende GNOME als Oberfläche… (Das hätte ich schon vorhin schreiben sollen, sorry…) Pulseview scheint aber tatsächlich ein Qt-Programm zu sein.
Allerdings ist Okular auch ein Qt-Programm, ebenfalls aus den Manjaro Software Repos und das läuft interessanterweise…

Die Git-Version aus dem AUR zeigt das selbe Verhalten wie die aus dem Repo. :neutral_face:

Ich kann auch bestätigen, pulseview GUI ist nicht kompatibel mit GNOME 42, aber es läuft problemlos in KDE.

Hier, auf einem aktuellen Manjaro mit Plasma-Desktop (5.24.6) läuft es nicht.

Oh, interessant.
Es funktioniert gut im unstable Branch, Plasma 5.25.3 in VM.
Bei Testing Branch geht es nicht.
