Problems booting Manjaro ARM Xfce on TV box

Greatings , i have problems with booting manjaro arm xfce on my tv box Ugoos am6 b plus . I used version of manjaro for ugoos am6 plus where I don’t have to choose dtb file or do any configurations just burn image and boot .bi asked a friend to burn manjaro arm image to my memory card , he used balena etcher for this task and did it in my presence . After burning i boot . First 3 times booting was normal ( normal i mean that desktop loaded , and I was able to use manjaro as supposed to ) . But later during booting a few errors appear , because of this booting stops , desktop didn’t loads . I made a photo of screen where booting stops ( the sistem didn’t just freeze but loading just stops ) . Help me please i searched for solutions on manjaro forum and other internet resources , but can’t find anything .

Looking at your above screen snapshot, no sure whether you actually boot into the XFCE Desktop. You mentioned you managed to “boot normally”. What do you meant by “boot normally”. Did you managed to boot into XFCE and able to launch applications on the desktop?

I presume you are raising this you now cannot boot into the XFCE desktop. If your Manjaro XFCE image is not not able to boot up successfully, try another dtb. As suggested here:

The meson-g12b-am6-plus.dtb that you are using now might not be working for your Ugoos AM6 B Plus.

Or reflash Manjaro XFCE again.

Thanks for replying , about dtb : if I’m not mistaken ugoos am6 plus and am6 b plus are almost the same , plus this version of manjaro arm is created specifically for ugoos am6 plus , and i didn’t have to choose dtb file , just burn image and boot on tv box . About normal booting : first 3 times manjaro booted as supposed to be , desktop appeared , and there i was able to use it . Now during booting i can’t load to desktop.I tried to enable internet through WiFi and cable , both didn’t work , i tried some kind of internet settings, it didn’t help ( i tried it when booting worked ). How to reflash manjaro xfce again ?
And if i have to try change dtb , i could just rename old one ( because it’s just a text (or copy dtb file to configuration file ?

You might be correct that AM6 Plus and AM6B Plus might be very close but base on experience of Dams2000 on Amlogic TV box wiki it is not the same. That is why he went through the effort to seek for a solution. Try contacting Dams2000.

Do you have access to any other computer? If yes, use balena etcher or rpi-imager to flash to the SD Card.

You can edit /boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf to change to dtb you want to use to boot.

Thanks for explaining , i will try to rename dtb in extlinux.conf and try to contact Dams2000 . But reflashing is the last option for me , because it means deleting all data and start everything again .

I tried to change dtb file from ugoos am6 plus.dtb to that from Google drive - test55.dtb . It didn’t help , booting goes as before , firstly I got error “failed to start light display manager” than “failed to start samba SMB daemon” . After these error messages loading stops .

You might have to consult other Ugoos AM6B Plus users like @dams2000 or @spikerguy.

May be try re-flashing Manjaro XFCE.

this points to the configuration for lightdm, but could also point to a gpu driver related issue

see Tutorials section - search for samba - check your configuration of samba

neither will prevent booting to CLI.

suggestion to disable lightdm and smb then verify the system actually boots.

How to configure lightmode or disable lightmode and samba ?
