I am having similar issues to this. My system was in the process of updating when it went to sleep. I could not get the gui back and restarted it. Since I am getting these errors.
None of the panels will work and the gui does not load after sleep. I tried reinstalling all of the packages as suggested here, and the solution by that guy with no luck.
