Powered USB Hub not working

I encounter problems, when switching an external power supply into my 7x USB 3.0 Hub:

  1. Without external power supply, everything works fine, i.e. any external device (HDD, printer, Stick,…) is properly recognized and mounted by Manjaro.

  2. When plugging the external power supply into the hub, Manjaro won’t recognize my external HDD’s anymore.

How can I track down this issue?

Run journalctl --dmesg --follow while plug in and out the the power supply.
