Post-update resource usage is up - KDE

Tagging this for KDE. New here so please keep in mind if I am clumsy tagging, etc.

Modest older laptop, Dell Inspiron 15 5566. Will place some outputs for specs below. I got through yesterday’s update unscathed thanks to reading these posts while still downloading and the pacman contrib thing, boots fine nothing seems changed except…KDE

KDE seems a little bit unstable and resource hungry than before the update. kwin-wayland especially I never saw all the time in top 3 processes. Plasma shell, xwayland, systemd journal all seem to be using more and in top 3. I have had some graphics tearing etc. that I was not experiencing before update. When first installed a few weeks ago, I had been pleasantly surprised how lightweight plasma is these days so I am not sure where to look for this change in usage. I installed nothing that wasn’t part of the update and have made no config changes.

I hope I don’t mess up posting the following.
