Plasmashell not responding after login, mouse pointer not seen

Hi,

after upgrading the SSD of an old Thinkpad I newly installed Manjaro (the lastest manjaro-kde-22.0-221224-linux61 iso) on it. As it was working with the old SSD I wanted to use a plasma-wayland session as before. (The installation on the old SSD was an around 1 year old manjaro kde iso updated till this week) But now when starting the session, the splash stays on for a long time and then the plasma shell that shows up is not reacting. Super key does not show the menu and the mouse pointer is not seen. But both is working (Super + E opens dolphin quite fast). But even if I can open Dolphin I still see a slowly reacting window (going to the light grey “not respinding” style), only closing the window works after a while.

I am not sure what is different to the old installation that it doesn’t work with what I think of is the same version? I tested already if the kernel or driver may be a problem as the old installation still used the 5.15 LTS, but it doesn’t change this behavior.

I also tried the similar threads fixes:

But those also didn’t help.

What am I missing here that the session doesn’t work?
