Plasma taskbar and background disappear when external monitor goes wakes up

See if changing your Session Restore settings might help:

1. Open System Settings:

2. Go to: Session → Desktop Session → Session Restore

3. Make sure the following is selected;

  • Start with an empty session :eyes:

4. Logout (or reboot if you can)

There was a fairly recent issue KDE Plasma hangs on Shutdown, Restart and Logout that might be related – the above was the workaround.

Additionally, you might wish add some swap space at your earliest convenience. Currently you have none configured.
